For me, life is all about being curious; asking questions.
For me the essence of being creative is questioning the status-quo.
As an artist, I’m fascinated by people who are curious and ask questions. Then follow their quest. I love discovering their story, I am fascinated by how they live.
By following their all consuming interests and passion, they unintentionally set themselves apart from society.
As a youngster, I dreamt of fusing the energy of rock music with the rich harmonic beauty of the classical tradition.
I studied hard, following the passion with vengeance. However it was not to be.
I allowed that dream to be lost.
Since then, I’ve became an artist who specializes in architectural and home portraits.
After creating my debut solo exhibition around Lucien Bonaparte, featuring thirty six drawings of buildings associated with him and his friends.
I’ve distilled my thoughts and ideas, evolving into ‘a visual biography’, in-turn becoming a new art form.
Today we have our own dream studio and art gallery run with my wife. Alongside is a traditional artist ‘colour-man shop’ where I create my own pigments.
Exploring the relationships among colour and acquiring knowledge from standing on the shoulders of those that have gone before.
I have loved sharing that knowledge gained through experience and experimentation through talks and demonstrations to fellow artists across the country.
